From the Xilinx Kria starter kit to maturity for series production

In close coordination between Xilinx and hema electronic, a development platform for Kria FPGA modules has been created, which optimally complements the manufacturer's starter kit consisting of the KV260 carrier board and K26 FPGA module. This means that after initial feasibility studies with the original Xilinx kit, customers can configure individual, near-series prototypes with the hema platform, that are based on industrial-grade circuits and components and thus providing an optimal bridge to the standard product.

 Individual prototypes in only 6 weeks

The hema embedded vision platform is already successfully in use in several customer projects and enables the development of customized electronics in just 6 weeks. Using the Xilinx Kria environment, numerous resources such as developer tools and software can be used directly. You can thus immediately start software development with the Xilinx starter kit. The code can generally be taken from the functional prototype to series production with the hema platform. This saves additional time and costs on the way to market.

With the modular embedded vision platform, you benefit from all the advantages of FPGA technology combined with shorter development time and maximum flexibility: the EMC-critical circuits around the FPGA and/or the processor are completely implemented on the module and have been tested many times. The design of your hema mainboard is faster, more cost-effective and with fewer design risks. Comparison: Xilinx Starter Kit and hema EVB2

Alongside the Xilinx KV260 Starter Kit is the hema EVB2 embedded vision mainboard. Both use the K26 SoM from Xilinx to build state-of-the-art FPGA-based vision systems. The Xilinx Kria™ KV260 Vision AI Starter Kit is an out-of-the-box electronics for functional samples and feasibility studies. The hema EVB2 is a platform for custom-developed electronics that can be quickly and easily developed into a standard product.
